Arsenal have had poor performances when playing away from home and it continued last night when the gunners faced Leicester City who defeated them 3-1.
ARSENAL VS LEICESTER CITY
Arsenal were welcomed at the King Power Stadium last night by Leicester City who defeated the 10 man North Londoners making Wenger’s penultimate match a total disaster because the manager thought that he could try to win three consecutive matches before he leaves the gunners.
The foxes were confident throughout the match because they know that the gunners have been awful when playing away from home in 2018 so it again didn’t go well for Arsenal in Leicester as they got red carded in the first minutes of the game leaving the manager stressful hence making some un desired changes which didn’t be fruitful because Arsenal lost the match 3-1.
Leicester City had pressured Arsene Wenger’s men and even scored before the gunners had their defender sent off, and so they pressured the North London club throughout the 45 minutes but the 10 men Arsenal team held on to end the first half with the score board reading 1-0 in favour of the home side.
The gunners got an equalizer through their skipper Aubameyang who netted his ninth goal of the season making it 1-1 when the second half of the game against Leicester City had just begun but it wasn’t enough to relieve on the pressure because the foxes still had one man advantage so they finally regained their lead through Vardy who scored through a penalty after they got awarded a spot kick in a controversial situation.
Riyad Mahrez finally closed off the match as he scored in the last minutes of the match to give his club a 3-1 win.
