Laurent Koscielny sends a message to the Arsenal fans

Laurent Koscielny has been on the sidelines for many months after he got an Achilles injury at the end of last season. He has battled with that injury for months up to November when he finally returned to full training and he made his first appearance for the gunners on Thursday when the gunners welcomed Qarabag at the Emirates Stadium.

The gunners came into this match with great confidence because they were unbeaten in 21 matches and thanks to Alexandre Lacazette’s strike against Qarabag, the gunners finished their UEFA Europa League group stage matches whilst unbeaten. Laurent Koscielny looked calm on the ball and worked hard to keep the score 1-0 even though the opponents weren’t that tough.

Laurent Koscielny was replaced in the 70th minute because Unai Emery wants to use him in their upcoming Premier League match against Southampton on Sunday. The Arsenal captain faced the press after the match against Qarabag and he took that opportunity to thank the fans for the support shown on Thursday.

Koscielny said;

“Hello everyone, thank you very much for your support tonight. For me it was an important day and I am happy to share it with you.”

The gunners will on Sunday make a trip to St. Mary’s Stadium to face Southampton and Laurent Koscielny will probably be in the lineup that plays and it is going to be their first Premier League game.
