Three qualities of Arsenal’s new signing Denis Suarez

The gunners completed the signing of Denis Suarez in the January transfer window on a loan deal so here are the qualities of the Spaniard.

The Spanish talent was captured from Spanish side Barcelona by Arsenal manager Unai Emery.

This move is on a loan basis despite the fact that Arsenal would pay his wages (salary) during the course of his loan spell at the club.

This signals how much the player is well valued as the Gunners did everything necessary to acquire his services.

The fact that the Catalan side let him go on loan and not on a permanent basis shows they still got an eye on the players’ potential as we evaluate the three things he brings to the table at the Emirates.

Midfield Creativity

The player willingness to get forward especially along the by-line may prove to be one of his asset for the Emirate outfit.

His calmness and mental competent is luring as he loves the ball at his feet. Arsenal’s midfield creativity might have rested largely on Mesut Ozil and former player Alexis Sanchez in the past season.

However, the acquisition of (Denis) Suarez is a big step in that regard as the player hopefully brings his creativity down to the Emirates Stadium.

Of course, the fans would hope to enjoy more fluency in transition down the opposing area as well accustomed to Arsenal (football) playing scheme.

Winning Mentality needed to Flourish

The player provides a necessary but lacking measure at Arsenal Football Club as he arrives from the Catalan giants.

This has been missing for years as Arsenal went over 9 years without a trophy. This trait would be helpful as the Europa League got set to begin in the next few days.

That’s what you can expect from a Barcelona player as they know what it means to win a title as they have always done with the La Liga triumph over Real Madrid last season.

Tactical (Positional) Versatility

The player’s ability to feature in various roles on the pitch makes him a valuable addition to the side.

With Europa League on the horizon, it’s unsurprising that Unai Emery was trying to add depth, especially in wide areas.

Unai Emery was asked about his best position after Arsenal’s FA Cup win over Blackpool and the manager replied ‘He was playing left or right-wing at Sevilla when he was with me’.

That shows the plan at hand as Emery has his eyes ahead of the (big) second part of the season.
