Famous football transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the current contract situation of Arsenal’s young talent, Reiss Nelson. The 23-year-old is in the final months of his current contract with the Gunners, which ends at the end of this season.
According to Romano, Nelson has rejected the first new contract proposal made by Arsenal. However, negotiations are still ongoing between the player and the club. A final decision on his future will be made at the end of the season.
Nelson has only had a few sub appearances for Arsenal this season but has managed to score three goals and make two assists in the league. His performances have caught the attention of many clubs in England and abroad who are interested in signing him on a potential free transfer.

Nelson joined Arsenal’s academy at a young age and made his first-team debut in 2017. He has since gone on to make several appearances for the club.
Despite his limited game time this season, Nelson has shown glimpses of his potential and has impressed when given the opportunity. His pace, dribbling ability, and eye for goal make him an exciting prospect for any club looking to sign him.
Arsenal will be keen to keep hold of Nelson as they look to build a young and talented squad under manager Mikel Arteta. However, if negotiations fail to reach an agreement, they may have to face losing one of their brightest prospects for free.
It remains to be seen what decision will be made regarding Nelson’s future at Arsenal. But one thing is certain – he is a player with immense potential who could go on to achieve great things in his career if given the right opportunities.
