Fulham in Talks to Snatch Arsenal Star in Surprise £15m Deal!

Fulham have made a move to sign Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko, as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the new Premier League season. The Cottagers have held talks with the player’s representatives since early June and are now weighing up whether to make a formal bid to bring the Ukrainian international to Craven Cottage.

Zinchenko, 28, has had a mixed spell at Arsenal since his arrival from Manchester City. While his technical ability and intelligence on the ball have been highly valued, persistent injury problems and defensive lapses have caused frustration among fans and staff alike. With Mikel Arteta looking to reshape his backline this summer, Zinchenko could be one of the names sacrificed to balance the squad and generate funds for new signings.

Arsenal are believed to value the versatile left-back at around £15 million — a fee Fulham are said to be considering seriously. Having already lost key players in recent windows, Fulham want to add Premier League experience to their ranks and see Zinchenko as a player who can slot in seamlessly at left-back or even in midfield in Marco Silva’s system.

The emergence of Riccardo Calafiori, who joined Arsenal last summer, has further limited Zinchenko’s chances of reclaiming a regular starting spot. As a result, the Ukrainian is believed to be open to a fresh start elsewhere, particularly if it means consistent game time.

For Fulham, this represents an opportunity to sign a player with Champions League experience and four Premier League titles under his belt. Zinchenko’s ability to dictate the tempo, build from deep, and offer technical security could make him a valuable addition to Silva’s side — especially with João Palhinha’s future still uncertain.

While discussions between Fulham and Zinchenko’s camp are ongoing, no official offer has yet been submitted. However, the London club are said to be close to making a decision and could table a bid in the coming days if everything aligns with their budget and squad planning.

From Arsenal’s perspective, the potential sale of Zinchenko would allow them to reinvest in key areas — particularly in midfield and attack — as they push to build a squad capable of going one better in the Premier League title race. Zinchenko’s professionalism and experience have been valued internally, but his injury record and tactical fit have raised enough questions to make a summer exit logical.

With the window heating up and both clubs looking to finalise business, Zinchenko’s future could be resolved soon. Whether he trades the Emirates Stadium for Craven Cottage remains to be seen, but the interest from Fulham is real — and growing.
